The mission of the Bess Streeter Aldrich Foundation is to promote and preserve the life and works of Bess Streeter Aldrich and promote reading and writing by all citizens. Mrs. Aldrich, one of Nebraska's Hall of Fame recipients, wrote more than 100 short stories and 12 books. Her home, which is located in Elmwood, Nebraska, has exhibits for viewing, is available for tours, and is a site that is suitable rental opportunities (including weddings and garden events).

The Center for People in Need works with and on behalf of individuals and groups who are underserved and under-represented. This population is disproportionately comprised of low-income and ethnic minorities. Beneficiaries of agency services generally have incomes which fall below 150% of federal poverty guidelines and almost all are below 100% of federal poverty guidelines.
City Impact is a faith-based organization that offers volunteer-driven programs that invest in the lives of our city's youth and families. One of these programs is the Impact Reading Center that provides tutors who meet with children during the school day.

Lincoln Animal Ambassadors is addressing the root causes of animal homelessness in Lincoln and the surrounding area. We prevent homeless animals by helping individuals keep their current pets when they are struggling financially with the largest Pet Food Bank in Lincoln. We also partner with several local veterinary offices to offer a low/cost spay neuter program, which promotes the benefits of Spaying and Neutering as well as offers a low-cost voucher.
