Catholic Social Services traces its beginnings to 1932 when Bishop Louis Kucera founded CSS to respond to the needs of persons suffering the effects of the Great Depression. Our Mission as Catholic Social Services of Southern Nebraska is to perform the Works of Mercy in response to the Call of God.
City Impact is a faith-based organization that offers volunteer-driven programs that invest in the lives of our city's youth and families. One of these programs is the Impact Reading Center that provides tutors who meet with children during the school day.
Coalition for Pet Protection (CPP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer animal welfare organization located in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was founded in 1992 and is composed of individuals and animal groups working together. CPP seeks to change public attitudes, behaviors, and to gain a recognition that any level of overpopulation and animal abuse is unacceptable. Coalition for Pet Protection’s mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and animal abuse in Nebraska by supporting the promotion of: ** Basic humane care and placement of animals ** Responsible pet ownership ** Prevention of animal cruelty and neglect ** Public education

Heroes Into Homes is a non-profit charitable organization focused on lifting our military veterans to a new level. We provide direction, purpose, basic needs and resources to further their future and improve their quality of life. We accept food donations to help our pantry nights and personnel to move furniture donations into new veteran's homes!

The International American Relief Society “IARS” is a Lincoln, Nebraska-based, multi-social and Relief Humanitarian Services Provider Organization. It develops and runs emergency programs which help families in disadvantaged situations to improve their lives and achieve lasting victories over poverty in Nebraska. It also assists the community with disaster crisis relief and response, and preparedness efforts to help people prepare in advance of disasters to reduce the impact on vulnerable and underserved communities.
Lincoln Animal Ambassadors is addressing the root causes of animal homelessness in Lincoln and the surrounding area. We prevent homeless animals by helping individuals keep their current pets when they are struggling financially with the largest Pet Food Bank in Lincoln. We also partner with several local veterinary offices to offer a low/cost spay neuter program, which promotes the benefits of Spaying and Neutering as well as offers a low-cost voucher.

The Mission of Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is to serve the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Lincoln's working poor, and homeless through outreach, advocacy, education and the provision of food and shelter.
