The Bike Union Mentoring Project is a non-profit social enterprise focused on assisting youth between the ages of 17 and 24 aging out of the foster care system. The Bike Union provides valuable professional development training for youth through our full service bike and coffee shop. Youth within the program are asked to commit to one year of participation and during their time here they receive mentoring in variety of areas including: financial literacy, personal health and wellness, reading, GED or college prep, mindfulness and other areas of individual need. All of our youth program participants are employed with the organization during their time here and receive 20 hours of paid work per week. 100% of the revenue generated within our bike and coffee shop goes to providing services to Omaha area youth aging out of foster care.
